If your home is served by FirstEnergy Utilities’ PennPower, their Residential Energy Audit Program can provide ways to save energy over time and rebates to cover the costs of energy efficiency improvements. As a participating energy efficiency contractor for FirstEnergy, the team at York Home Performance can make it happen!
Get Started with a Home Energy Audit
Our BPI certified energy auditors can perform your residential energy audit to evaluate your York PA home’s heating and cooling, windows, insulation, air leakage and combustion safety tests including testing for carbon monoxide and gas leaks. You may qualify for a $250 rebate for the cost of the audit. Our certified energy audit team will conduct a combination of scientific tests and evaluation of your home’s systems including:
Blower Door Test
Thermal Imaging
Carbon Monoxide Test
Gas Leak Detection
Prioritize Your Home Energy Upgrades for Savings and Rebates
Once we have the energy audit test results, our energy auditor will review the options that deliver the biggest savings and comfort improvements for your unique home. You select which efficiency upgrades make the most sense, and you’ll qualify for rebates based on the amount of energy your upgrades will save. Home improvements that may qualify for FirstEnergy rebates include:
ENERGY STAR® qualified windows
Confirm Your Savings and Collect Your Rebate!
Once we’ve completed your home energy efficiency improvements, we’ll conduct a second blower door test. With the energy savings results confirmed, we’ll submit your rebate paperwork for you.
Your rebate amount is based on the energy you save, so the second blower door test is a key step to earning your rebates.
