In-Home Energy Audit Rebates
PPL offers rebates on qualifying in-home energy audits conducted by a BPI-certified contractor. The audit includes a blower door test, a review of your heating and cooling systems, and a personalized report with improvement recommendations and rebate suggestions, plus a complimentary energy savings kit.
- Customers with central AC and central electric heating receive a $350 audit rebate
- Customers with central AC or central electric heating (not both) receive a $200 audit rebate
Insulation and Air Sealing Rebates
PPL provides individual rebates for qualifying insulation and air-sealing improvements. Requests must be submitted within 180 days of installation or by June 15, 2026, whichever is earlier.

Bonus Rebate Program — Tiered Whole-Home Pathway
PPL’s most distinctive feature is a tiered bonus structure that rewards homeowners for completing multiple upgrades together. The bonus is automatically sent when individual rebate applications are approved.
- Option 1 — Introductory Retrofit: $250 bonus. Complete at least 1 upgrade from the insulation/air sealing category, plus 1 additional qualifying upgrade.
- Option 2 — Comprehensive Retrofit: $350 bonus. Qualify for Option 1, then complete 1 additional upgrade for an extra $100 bonus.
- Option 3 — Deep Energy Retrofit: $500 bonus. Complete an in-home audit with a designated contractor and complete at least 3 home upgrades, including at least 1 from the insulation and air sealing category. For Option 3, the contractor applies for rebates on the customer’s behalf.
When individual rebates are combined with the tiered bonus, the maximum a customer can earn is approximately $1,650 to $2,150, depending on the combination of upgrades completed.
PPL Electric WRAP Program, Income-Qualified Customers
Income-qualified PPL customers may be eligible for the WRAP (Weatherization Referral and Packaging) program, which provides free home upgrades at no cost to the customer. York Home Performance is an approved WRAP contractor and can determine your eligibility as part of your estimate.
